Karen oversees the end-to-end financial management at Thrive Health. Her days are spent managing risk and investment strategies while tracking our overall financial health, and that means looking beyond the numbers. Karen uses the raw metrics to interpret our financial performance and develop reporting systems to ensure the consistent delivery of data and insights.

Karen worked in cancer research and radiation biology before switching to accounting, managing her own education and research consulting company for several years. Prior to joining Thrive in our founding year, Karen worked with Simon Fraser University for six years and BC Cancer on a drug discovery project.

Karen holds a post-graduate Diploma in Accounting from the Sauder School of Business, and a BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of British Columbia. To unwind, Karen loves to travel, read, and spend time with good friends, food, and wine.
